Anurag Dhanda Criticizes Centre Over Rise in Petrol and Diesel Prices

He also claimed that income growth for many families has not kept pace with inflation.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda has criticized the Central Government over the recent increase in petrol and diesel prices, alleging that rising fuel costs are putting additional financial pressure on poor and middle-class families.

In a public statement, Dhanda claimed that frequent increases in fuel prices are contributing to inflation and making essential goods and services more expensive for ordinary citizens.

Anurag Dhanda: Fuel Price Hike Sparks Political Debate

The remarks came after reports indicated that petrol prices had increased by around 90 paise per litre, while diesel prices had risen by approximately 87 paise per litre. The issue quickly became a point of political discussion, with opposition leaders targeting the government over rising living expenses.

Dhanda alleged that the increase in fuel prices affects the cost of transportation, cooking gas, and daily necessities, leading to a broader rise in household expenses. He also claimed that income growth for many families has not kept pace with inflation.

Inflation Remains Major Public Issue

Fuel price fluctuations often have a direct impact on transportation and supply chain costs, influencing the prices of essential commodities and services. Rising inflation and cost-of-living concerns continue to remain important political and economic issues across the country.

Opposition parties have repeatedly accused the government of failing to provide relief from inflation, while the Central Government has maintained that global crude oil prices and international market conditions play a major role in determining fuel costs.
