Bhagwant Mann Continuing its ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking, Punjab Police arrested 97 drug smugglers across Punjab as part of the anti-drug campaign #YudhNashianVirudh on its 370th day.

During the operations carried out at multiple locations across the state, police teams recovered 551 grams of heroin, 1.9 kg of opium, 435 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹28,850 suspected drug money. Officials said the seizures were made during coordinated raids conducted by district police units.

According to the police, the campaign is part of a sustained effort to dismantle drug supply networks and curb illegal trafficking in the state. Authorities said continuous enforcement operations are being conducted to identify smugglers and prevent the spread of narcotics.

Police data shows that since the launch of the anti-drug campaign, a total of 52,428 drug smugglers have been arrested over the past 370 days. The figures indicate the scale of the ongoing drive to tackle drug-related crimes in the state.

The campaign is part of the broader efforts of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to combat the drug menace and strengthen law enforcement across Punjab.

Officials said police teams have been conducting regular raids, intelligence-based operations and community outreach programmes to break the supply chain of narcotics and raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
