Bhagwant Mann conducts 552 raids in statewide anti-gangster drive on Day 115

Punjab Police on Thursday said it continued its intensified crackdown on organised crime under the ongoing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign, carrying out 552 raids across the state in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).

According to the police, the Day 115 operation resulted in the detention of 276 individuals from various identified locations across Punjab. Officials also apprehended eight proclaimed offenders and recovered 11 weapons during the raids.

Punjab Police stated that the total number of arrests made since the launch of the anti-gangster campaign has now risen to 29,385.

Bhagwant Mann: Crackdown targets gangster networks

Police officials said the coordinated raids were conducted to identify and dismantle active gangster networks, their associates and criminal support systems operating in different districts of the state.

Authorities added that police teams carried out searches at suspected hideouts and monitored the activities of individuals allegedly linked to organised crime.

Police reiterate commitment to public safety

In its statement, Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety through continuous action against criminal networks.

The department also appealed to citizens to share information related to gangster activities through the Anti-Gangster Helpline number 93946-93946, assuring anonymity for informants assisting the investigations.
