The introduction of self-enumeration allows individuals to fill in their own data online, reducing dependency on manual surveys and increasing accuracy.

Helpline Support for Public

A national toll-free helpline (1855) will be operational in Punjab from April 30, 2026, to assist citizens with queries related to enumeration, house listing, and grievance redressal.

Focus on Transparency and Efficiency

Officials emphasized that digital tools will ensure greater transparency, real-time monitoring, and improved data accuracy, helping in better policy planning and governance.

Strengthening Data-Driven Governance

The Census is expected to play a crucial role in policy formulation, resource allocation, and development planning, benefiting various sectors across the state.

Public Participation Key to Success

Authorities have urged citizens to actively participate in the process, highlighting that accurate data collection depends on public cooperation.
