No cuts because of shortage
According to the Punjab government, the state did not witness any power cuts because of the shortage of electricity during the time of high demand. The minister said that despite the high demand, power supply remained steady.
Two units off in Ropar
It is reported that two units in the Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant in Ropar are out of service, which has reduced the generation capacity. It was reported that attempts have been made by the government to bring the units back into action.
