Under the Chief Minister Teachers’ Cashless Medical Scheme, around 60 lakh teachers, non-teaching staff, and their dependent family members associated with basic and secondary education are receiving healthcare benefits. The scheme enables eligible beneficiaries to access cashless medical treatment at empanelled hospitals, making healthcare services more accessible.
Expanded Coverage for Higher Education Institutions
The state government has also expanded the scheme to include the higher education sector. More than 7.50 lakh teachers from state and private universities, aided colleges, and self-financed colleges, along with their dependent family members, are now covered under the program.
