Delhi Environment Minister Informed…

Delhi Environment Minister, Gopal Rai also said that the odd-even system is not in consideration as of now. For those who are unaware of the odd-even system, it makes it mandatory for private vehicles with registration numbers ending with odd digits to run on odd dates while those with even numbers can ply on the even dates.

The ministry has implemented phase two of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in order to tackle the “Very poor” state of the air quality in the city. Specialized teams will be deployed to recognize and find out the local sources of pollution, so that the government can work on the root cause of the problem.

Delhi’s air quality on Monday was recorded “Very Poor” category and Air Quality index was 306 which is an alarming situation for the authorities.
