From Parental Struggle to Purposeful Innovation
Mamaearth is the result of anxious parents. When co-founders Varun and Ghazal Alagh, a husband-and-wife team, found it difficult to treat their infant son’s skin condition with goods on the Indian market, they sought out the source of the issue. It turns out that there were a tonne of generic products on the Indian market that were toxic and couldn’t be used on babies. The pair remained committed to the issue statement even though they eventually were able to fulfil their demand by ordering “suitable” things from the US, which was a “inconvenient arrangement”.

- Mamaearth products income increased to 110 crores in 2020
- surpassing the previous record of RS 500 crores in 2020
- When compared to the prior year, Mamaearth’s outright compensation increased by 101% to INR 952.4 Cr in 2022 from INR 472.1 Cr
