The starting price for the Maruti Alto 800 STD Opt (Petrol) is Rs. 3.39 lakh, and the starting price for the Renault KWID RXL is Rs. 4.64 lakh ex-showroom (Petrol) where as Hyundai Santro price starts at Rs 4.90 Lakh ex-showroom for Era Executive (Petrol). The top model of the Alto 800 has a 796 cc CNG engine, while the top model of the KWID has a 999 cc Petrol engine and Santro has 1086 cc (Petrol top model) engine. In terms of mileage, the KWID has a mileage of 22.25 kmpl (Petrol top model) while the Alto 800 has a mileage of 31.59 km/kg (Petrol top model) where as the Santro has a mileage of 30.48 km/kg (Petrol top model).
