Liyaquat earned her degree from Mumbai University and went to the Futuristic Media Communication Centre (FMCC) for her media studies. She began her career in 2007 and has since worked for outlets like Live India TV, Aaj Tak, News 24, and Zed News. Her well-liked programmes Taal Thok Ke and Master Stroke are well-known.
