Tata Harrier and Tiago NRG: These special feature rich and sporty CNG SUVs are expected to launch in India soon

0

Tata Harrier and Tiago NRG: The Harrier midsize SUV debuted in the market in January 2019 and has since gotten positive reviews from customers. Following the success of the five-seater, the range was expanded to include the Safari as the three-row variant of the Harrier two years later. The five-seater is the first model built on the OMEGA platform derived from Discovery Sport.

Since neither model has seen any significant alterations since going on sale, it appears that their respective facelifts will be introduced early in the following year.

The modernised Harrier and Safari are now being tested by Tata Motors on public roads. Prior to coming on sale in the domestic market, they are anticipated to make their premiere at the 2023 Auto Expo in January.

Tata Harrier and Tiago NRG: New modifications

Both the interior and appearance of the Tata Harrier and Safari will see significant modifications before 2023. A revised grille, sharper headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights, an updated bumper with new fog lamp housings, and presumably a little more muscular bonnet structure are all anticipated for the front fascia.

Given that this is only a mid-life update, additional design changes are likely to include a new set of alloy wheels, slightly modified wraparound horizontal LED tail lamps, and a rear bumper. Tata is more likely to release a limited-edition Harrier before they do, and the CNG-powered Tiago NRG is also set to go on sale as soon as possible.

Price Range

Tata Harrier prices range from Rs. 14.79 lakh for the base XE model to Rs. 22.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-of-the-line XZA Plus Dark Edition. The domestic manufacturer already provides the Harrier in the Kaziranga and Dark Editions, and Tata is renowned for releasing special/limited editions one after another.

New variants

There are currently only three retail variations of the Tata Tiago NRG, but the lineup will grow with the addition of the CNG trim. The same 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine from the Tiago CNG will be used in it; it will produce a maximum of 72 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum of 95 Nm at 3,500 rpm.
