NHAI Initiates Toll Price Review

The NHAI has begun work on setting new toll prices. New toll fee rates and public information will be announced following Holi. The cost of driving on the Delhi-Meerut Motorway and Eastern Peripheral Motorway would rise for lakhs of drivers after the new tariffs go into effect.

NHAI Engages Commercial Corporation

A commercial corporation has been tasked by NHAI with collecting and maintaining toll fees on additional motorways, such as the Delhi-Meerut expressway and the Eastern Peripheral expressway. Toll prices may be raised by a set amount annually in accordance with the terms of these companies’ contracts, according to NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh. On April 1, he announced, most toll roads, including the Delhi-Meerut expressway and Eastern Peripheral, would see a five percent increase in toll prices.

The toll price may rise by more than 5% in some locations. In actuality, such a figure will be transformed to an integer whether the toll cost is actually Rs 63, 64 or Rs 89, 54 following a five percent rise. Thus, instead of charging Rs 64 or Rs 89, the toll cost may be set at Rs 65, Rs 90, or other comparable sums, which could be two or three rupees more. Similarly, the integer amount can be found by lowering it if the fixed amount for a voyage is 81, 51, or something like.
