Trip Down Memory Lane: Bill Gates Shares 48-Year-Old Resume

Bill Gates, founder and CEO of Microsoft and one of the richest people in the world, shared his first resume on Friday. Going back in time, almost 5 decades ago, the 66-year old shared a copy of a resume from his first year at Harvard.

A resume can make or break your career. These days, it is absolutely essential to have a good resume as it is the first criteria that an applicant needs to meet. This much pressure on a piece of paper can make writing a resume quite nerve-wracking yet exciting.

In his post on Linkedin, addressing his followers, Gates said that he was sure that their resume looks better than his did.

“Whether you’re a recent grad or a college dropout, I’m sure your resume looks a lot better than mine did 48 years ago,” the billionaire philanthropist captioned the post.

“Thanks for sharing this, Bill. It’s quite heartening! Also, was always curious about what your resume might have been like, so good to finally know,” one user wrote.

The resume featured the courses taken by him, such as Operating Systems Structure, Data Base Management, Compiler Construction and Computer Graphics. It also displayed his full name, William Henry Gates. He also included his experience, as well as, interestingly, his work with future Microsoft co-founder and childhood best friend, Paul G. Allen.
