Vande Bharat Train: Attention pilgrims visiting Vaishno Devi Temple! The Indian Railways has slightly adjusted the departure timings of the popular Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22440) running between New Delhi and Katra.

Earlier Departure from Katra

The Vande Bharat Express departing Katra for New Delhi will now leave five minutes earlier than before. This change came into effect on March 18, 2024. The new departure time from Katra is 2:55 pm, instead of the earlier 3:00 pm.

Revised Schedule

  • Katra – Departure: 2:55 pm (instead of 3:00 pm)
  • Jammu Tawi – Arrival: 4:08 pm (instead of 4:13 pm)

There are no changes to the train’s schedule after Jammu Tawi. It will arrive in New Delhi at its usual time of 11:00 pm.

Stations Covered

The Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi and Katra takes pilgrims on a comfortable journey with halts at four stations: Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Pathankot Cantonment, and Jammu Tawi.

Frequency and Amenities

The Vande Bharat Express operates six days a week, skipping Wednesdays. Passengers can choose between AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car for a relaxing and convenient travel experience.
