Viral News: Strange! Woman calls off her marriage because the lehnga was of just Rs.10000 – what have we become?

Viral News: While weddings are called off owing to a mismatch between families or a disagreement between the pair getting married all over the world. In a rare instance, a lady in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, called off her wedding to her fiancé because she had not been handed an extravagant lehenga. She lost her cool when she learned that the lehenga that the groom’s family had bought for her only cost Rs. 10,000.

Groom’s father was ready to give another lehnga

The bride’s family, on the other hand, asserted that they got the lehenga just from Lucknow. In June, the couple got engaged. The wedding was scheduled for November 5. Arrangements were done and even cards were distributed.

The woman lost her composure the day of the wedding and declined to get married. Locals said that the groom’s father gave the girl his ATM card so she could buy the lehenga of her choice, but that did not turn out to be the case.

After much quarrel, the Kotwali police were alerted to the situation, and the decision was made to call off the wedding.

A similar and bizzare incident occured few days ago

As a result of the groom’s inability to read the newspaper without his spectacles, a wedding in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, was abruptly called off earlier. The Auraiya district incident occured when Arjun Singh, a native of Jamalpur village in the Sadar Kotwali area, scheduled the marriage of his daughter Archana with Shivam, a resident of Banshi village.

As a “well-educated boy,” Shivam was Singh’s first choice. Singh quickly set the wedding date and started making all the necessary arrangements. Before the wedding, the groom was even given a motorcycle as part of the customary ceremonial known as “Shagun.”
