Weather Update: While the majority of the country is predicted for a week of dry weather, the final days of August’s heavy monsoon showers appear to be targeting Northeast India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the active phase of the monsoon trough’s eastern end will only transition in the upcoming month. Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh have been forecast to receive intense rainfall.

Anticipate thundery showers in the regions of Chandigarh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Mizoram, and Manipur. Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected to pour down over the Andaman-Nicobar Islands.

Delhi

IMD has predicted the national capital and its adjoining areas to remain mostly sunny. The weather conditions will largely remain similar for the remaining days as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 54%.

Mumbai

Mumbai will witness scattered thunderstorms in the morning itself. However, the weather will then turn pleasant and will remain cloudy until the afternoon. Later on, the day will remain sunny and clear. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 87%.

Chennai

As per the latest weather update, Chennai will experience rains in the early morning. However, the weather will, then, remain pleasant as clouds will most likely engulf the region throughout the day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 85%.

Kolkata

Kolkata is predicted to remain mostly cloudy throughout the day. Though, there will be relief from the rainfall. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 61%.
