“These people will thump their chest if India wins and if India loses, they will start finding whose fault it was. What’s your problem? This is cricket. You have a problem with our hijab, with our beard and also with our cricket,” he said.

The match between India and Pakistan will take place on October 23 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The burden lies on skipper Rohit Sharma and his team to perform well after losing two of their previous three encounters, including the T20 World Cup match in 2021 by 10 wickets. India’s prospects of making it to the semifinals will be greatly improved with a good start because their Super 12 groups are not simple.
