Senior players to join camp at NCA

Before commencing their preparation for the ICC World Cup 2023, the senior players will actively participate in the Asia Cup. The formidable duo, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be part of the T20 squad for the ICC 2024 T20 World Cup, as the BCCI has chosen a young team with Hardik Pandya as the captain. While the Asia Cup is currently the centre of attention, both Rohit and Kohli, along with the Asia Cup team, will later join the fitness camp at NCA in Bengaluru to prepare for the upcoming major tournament.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will embark on their journey to Sri Lanka to represent the Indian team in the Asia Cup, with their first match scheduled against arch-rivals Pakistan on 2nd September. Alongside them, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will also be part of the Asia Cup 2023 camp, but Sanju Samson’s inclusion in the team appears doubtful. In case Samson secures a spot in the team, he will join the camp for the last two days.
