Asia Cup: Sri Lanka assaults India as Rohit Sharma’s team on verge of getting knocked out

Sri Lanka beat India by 6 wickets in their second game of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Chasing the target of 173 runs, Sri Lanka had a brilliant start with openers adding 97 runs to the first wicket.

Openers Pathum Nissanka and Misal Mendis scored fifties and later the fort was well handled by Bhanu ka Rajapaksa and Dasun Dhamaka.

For India, leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with his three wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin scalped one.

Earlier skipper Rohit Sharma scored 72 runs to help India finish at 172/8 in 20 overs. Skipper was well supported by Suryakumar Yadav who scored 34 runs in 29 balls.

For Sri Lanka, Sikshan Madushanka was the pick of the bowlers with his three wickets. While skipper Darun Shanaka picked two.
