It was the last time Stuart Broad came down from the dugout for batting. And even he was overwhelmed with emotions. He had previously stated that he does not want to make it a big thing, but when a player like him retires, it is always a big thing.

The emotions took over while reaching the guard of honor, and Broad was overwhelmed. He put his hand on Anderson's shoulder and asked him to go down the path with him just like they had done so many times over the years.

But England's record wicket-taker knew it was Broad's moment. And he let him walk down the path alone for the first time. And ironically, this was also the last time he would walk down the path without his criminal partner. A truly surreal moment.

After the guard of honor, Steve Smith and other Australian players cheekily asked James Anderson to walk down the path too. Indicating that it is his time to retire. Smith even hilariously signaled him to do so.

But as the English record-time wicket-taker has already indicated, he is not interested in retiring right now. According to him, he can still give few more years to the cricket. And that will be the best, because no one can handle him retiring now.
