During the conference, a journalist asked about Azam’s thoughts on facing his Pakistani teammate and friend, Shaheen Afridi, at the Gaddafi Stadium. This prompted Azam to respond in a playful manner, asking the reporter if he should go and meet Afridi instead of playing the game at all. In the video, it can be seen that when the reporter asked him about Shaheen Afridi, Babar replied with, “Kya kre fir, nhi khele.” The video from the press conference is now going viral over social media. Fans have been sharing the clip from press conference rapidly.

Despite Babar Azam’s impressive innings of 75 runs, Peshawar Zalmi failed to set a high score on the board and were soundly defeated by Islamabad United. In their batting innings, Zalmi managed to post a modest total of 154, which United easily chased down in just 14.5 overs.

Looking ahead, Zalmi will face off against Lahore Qalandars, led by the talented Shaheen Shah Afridi, on Sunday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The match promises to be an exciting one, with both teams looking to secure a win and climb up the rankings in the ongoing tournament.
