BCCI To Announce Indian Squad: Various reports have claimed that the BCCI to announce the Indian squad for the tour of the West Indies on June 27. And after the debacle of a World Test Championship 2023 Final, major changes will be made to the squad.

It is being reported that many big veterans will be dropped from the side. Youngsters will be given the opportunity to prove themselves in the series. This squad selection will give new players a chance and reflect BCCI’s vision of the 2023 World Cup.

Hardik Pandya – The Main Concern

Hardik Pandya is the main point of debate for the BCCI this time around. While it is imminent that Pandya will lead the line for India in both white-ball tournaments. BCCI wants him to be back in the test squad.

An all-rounder like Hardik Pandya can improve any team overnight. But whether his body will be able to handle the fatigue of Test Cricket or not is still the question. A question that only Hardik Pandya can answer.

Young Blood

Many young players are expected to be given an opportunity in the upcoming West Indies tour. Many big names like Virat Kohli, Mohammad Shami, Rohit Sharma, and Mohammed Siraj will be given a rest from ODI and T20i series.

Youngsters like Yashaswi Jaiswal and Arshdeep Singh are being considered for the test series. While, players like Sanju Samson and Umran Malik are being considered for white ball formats alongside Jaiswal and Arshdeep.

Rohit Sharma might also be dropped from the test side if he decides to extend his vacation. In that case, the captaincy might be given to either Ajinkya Rahane or Vice-Captain Cheteshwar Pujara.
