IPL 2023: Ben Stokes, the all-rounder for Chennai Super Kings, wasted no time in starting his preparation for IPL 2023. On March 24, the same day he joined the CSK squad in Chennai, he was seen batting in the centre of the pitch, hitting many balls over the ropes. Stokes was facing throw downs and fast bowling from net bowlers with the aim of clearing the boundaries on every ball.

CSK shares new video

In a video shared by CSK on Twitter, the left-handed batsman was seen targeting the straight boundaries by hitting the ball straight down the ground. This may be a tactic he uses during the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Stokes has a strong ability to hit the ball straight down the ground, which is one of his best shots in all formats of cricket.

He prefers to make space by moving his front leg out of the way when the ball is aimed at his body and then hits it over the bowler's head for a six. When the ball is pitched full, he maximizes his potential by hitting it for a maximum score. The video of his practice session is getting viral across social media.
