Commonwealth Games 2022: India’s sporting icon PV Sindhu finally won her first gold medal in CWG 2022 Women’s Singles Badminton after a 21-15, 21-13 win over Canada’s Michelle Li. India has a potential to win up to five gold medals on the last day of the CWG 2022.
Early in the match, Sindhu appeared to have movement difficulties due to the strapping around her ankle.
In few moments from now Lakshya Sen will be competing for a gold medal in the men's singles badminton event against Malaysia's Tze Yong NG.
In the men's doubles final event, pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will also play to win the title.

The gold medal game between the men's hockey team and Australia will take place later this evening.
Achanta Sharath Kamal will compete in the men's singles final of table tennis while pursuing the pinnacle of success.

India presently has 56 medals (19 gold, 15 silver, and 22 bronze) and would like to add more gold to its collection.
