Commonwealth Games 2022: Virender Sehwag mistakenly congratulated Hima Das instead of Sanket Sargar

Commonwealth Games 2022: Weightlifter Sanket Sargar on Saturday won the first medal for India at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 by winning a silver medal in men's 55 kg category.

He found a place for himself on the podium despite visibly suffering from an injury.

Till the last lift of the game, Sargar was at the top spot but Malaysian weightlifter won lifted a kg more than the India to win the gold medal.

Following this, entire country congratulated Sargar.

However, in a rather strange incident, ex-Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag congratulated female runner Hima Das instead of Sargar.

Later he deleted the tweet and congratulated Sargar.

"Well done #SanketSargar for winning India it's first medal at the Commonwealth Games, brilliant effort. Proud of your Silver," Sehwag wrote on Twitter later.
