Cricket Viral Video: Aakash Chopra takes a gravity-defying catch but batter remains not-out! Watch here

Aakash Chopra's remarkable catch during a cricket match went in vain as it was declared a no-ball due to Ashish Nehra's mistake.

Cricket Viral Video: Aakash Chopra had a brief stint in international cricket with the Indian national team, spanning from 2003 to late 2004, totalling just 10 matches. In a memorable instance during a match against Australia, he was fielding on the off-side and managed to catch Justin Langer, resulting in a humorous moment, although it didn’t lead to Langer’s dismissal.

Aakash Chopra’s sensational catch in vain

During the 2003-04 Border Gavaskar Trophy series Test opener between India and Australia, Aakash Chopra left the cricket world astounded with his exceptional slip catch. Taking catches at slip demands intense focus and quick reactions, as the ball can arrive unexpectedly, requiring split-second responses from the fielder.

Even the slightest delay in a fielder’s reaction can render a catch impossible. In the game against Australia, Justin Langer attempted his trademark pull shot off a delivery from Ashish Nehra, with Aakash Chopra stationed as a close-in fielder. Chopra managed to securely catch the ball, but his achievement turned to disappointment as the on-field umpire ruled it a no-ball, negating the spectacular catch.
