Cricket Viral Video: Chris Gayle is a fearsome batsman across various formats, earning the nickname “The Universe Boss” from fans and teammates. He holds the record for the most T20I sixes (106) and most Test sixes (98) due to his powerful hitting style. He fearlessly faces bowlers, no matter the format, and has delivered some incredible performances throughout his career.
Gayle’s one of the most memorable record
One memorable moment came in a Test match against England in 2004, when Gayle took on Matthew Hoggard and smacked six consecutive fours in one over. This took place during the fourth Test at Kennington Oval, where West Indies were asked to follow on after scoring only 152 in response to England’s first innings total of 470. Gayle opened the batting for his team on that day.
However, Gayle provided a strong start in the second innings after West Indies followed on. He quickly got into his stride and launched a devastating attack against Harmison in the third over, smacking six fours in six balls for a total of 24 runs in one over. He became the first batsman to hit six fours in a single over in Test cricket. Despite efforts by England captain Michael Vaughan to change the field, Gayle was unstoppable as he dispatched anything that came his way. He raced to 105 off 87 balls in the second innings, giving West Indies a strong start.

Unfortunately, the visitors were unable to save the Test match and suffered a ten-wicket defeat by the hosts. Despite efforts by Dwayne Bravo (54) and Carlton Baugh (34) to keep the West Indies in the game, they could only score 318 runs in the second innings. The West Indies managed to match England’s first innings total of 470 runs across their two innings, but the hosts needed only one run to win in their second innings.
Marcus Trescothick opened with Andrew Strauss and secured an easy win for England with a boundary against Fidel Edwards in the first over.
