Infamous Tendulkar - Ponting incident

One such instance occurred during the DLF Cup in Malaysia in 2006 when Australia played India. After scoring a below-par total of 213, Australia appealed for Sachin Tendulkar's wicket, claiming the ball hit him and went to the wicketkeeper. Umpire Mark Benson declared Tendulkar out, but within seconds, he realized his mistake and called Tendulkar back.

Ponting was enraged and marched towards Benson, yelling at him for calling Sachin back. Despite Ponting's protests, Tendulkar was given a lifeline. Australia eventually won the game by 18 runs, but the Tendulkar-Benson-Ponting episode remains etched in the memories of cricket fans. The incident also sheds light on how intense cricket can be a few times.
