Andrew Tye goes berserk
Batting at a score of 78, the Kiwi batsman started the over with a four towards deep backward square leg, and then went on a rampage by smashing Tye for two sixes and two boundaries in a row. Guptill concluded the over with another boundary, making it a staggering 30 runs off Tye’s over.
The 36-year-old also completed a brilliant century after the over, which held special significance as the Quetta Gladiators were struggling at the start of their innings. With the team down to 23 for 4 in 6.1 overs, Guptill gradually built his innings before unleashing his power-hitting skills on Tye. This was also Guptill’s first century in the Pakistan Super League.
