In Yesterday’s County Championship match, James Anderson delivered a scorching opening spell of bowling, during which he dismissed former England captain Alastair Cook by pinning him lbw. The video of the match is now getting viral on internet.

James Anderson displayed his exceptional bowling skills on the first day of the match at Chelmsford by taking two wickets in his opening spell, which included the removal of both Essex openers. Anderson quickly made his presence felt by dismissing Nick Browne in his very first over, caught by a fielder in the slips. In his next over, Anderson trapped Alastair Cook lbw, despite the former England captain resisting for ten overs before succumbing to Anderson’s mastery with the new ball.
Alastair Cook attempted to play an angled in delivery from Anderson but missed the length ball, resulting in the ball hitting his front pad in front of the off-stump. Anderson appealed vigorously and the umpire responded by giving Cook out for 16, which left Essex struggling at 17-2. Soon after, Tom Westley was dismissed for five, causing further damage to Essex’s batting lineup. By the time the third wicket fell, Essex were trailing Lancashire by 182 runs, highlighting the extent of their collapse.
