Cricket Viral Video: Vinod Kambli delivered a remarkable performance in the semi-final of the 1994 Austral-Asia Cup held in Sharjah, where he scored an impressive 22 runs in a single over against Shane Warne. India secured their spot in the semi-finals by defeating the UAE, despite a previous loss to Pakistan. Unfortunately, the team encountered a setback when coach Ajit Wadekar suffered a heart attack during the tournament. Stepping up to the occasion, Sunil Gavaskar, who was originally part of the commentary team, assumed the role of coach.

Vinod Kambli’s epic over
Australia’s dominant performance against Sri Lanka and New Zealand ensured their spot in the semi-final clash with India. Notably, Steve Waugh and Matthew Hayden, who occupied the sixth batting position at the time, made significant contributions of 52 and 48 runs respectively, propelling Australia to a total score of 244-9. While India faced an early setback with the dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar, Ajay Jadeja and Navjot Sidhu displayed impressive batting skills, scoring 87 and 80 runs respectively, to keep the team in the game.
Shane Warne, still riding high from his remarkable Ball of the Century delivery, entered the field with his exceptional bowling abilities. He managed to dismiss both Jadeja and Sidhu before facing Vinod Kambli for the first time. Kambli, donning a cap, smashed Warne for a powerful six on the very first ball, followed by a no-ball call for a high full toss on the second delivery.
Continuing his brilliant display, Kambli struck a four and a six on the subsequent deliveries, prompting Warne to attempt a change in tactics by bowling a short-pitched ball. However, Kambli skillfully cut it for a four. The next ball soared for a six through mid-wicket. Warne eventually resorted to bowling round the wicket, but Kambli successfully defended the last ball. This captivating moment remains vividly cherished by fans of the Indian cricket team.
