Cricket Viral Video: Unstoppable Akhil Akkineni unleashes one-man show in CCL 2023; non-striker batsman sits on ground to watch

CCL 2023: On Day 2 of the Celebrity Cricket League, Akhil Akkineni, the captain of Telugu Warriors, played a remarkable inning against the Kerala Strikers. Despite being put into bat by Kerala, Akhil proved his mettle as a top-class batsman. He scored an impressive 91 runs off just 30 balls, which is the highest individual score in the tournament so far. He was also awarded man of the match for his inning.

Akhil Akkineni hits a blistering knock

Akhil opened the batting and took charge from the start. He reached his half-century in just 20 balls and then accelerated his scoring rate in the final overs. He was finally dismissed for 91, caught by Vijay Yesudas at the cover. However, his contribution was invaluable as he single-handedly took his team to a competitive total of 154 runs in their allotted 10 overs.

Akhil's innings accounted for more than 60% of his team's total runs. He received some support from his teammate Prince, who scored 45 runs off 23 balls before taking 4 wickets. Overall, it was an outstanding performance by Akhil and his team, and they will be hoping to carry this momentum forward in the tournament.
