Stuart Broad’s hattrick against India

The love affair between Stuart Broad and Trent Bridge in Test cricket is a spectacle that every cricket fan would be thrilled to witness. Even before his remarkable performance of 8-15 against Australia, securing the Ashes for England at Trent Bridge in 2015, Broad had already made a mark on his home ground with his first Test match hat-trick against a formidable Indian team.

During the second test match in 2011, India were comfortably placed at 273-5, the star right-arm paceman delivered one of those unforgettable spells, dismissing MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, and Praveen Kumar in consecutive deliveries, while Rahul Dravid saw from the other end. This hat trick served as a glimpse of the brilliance that was to follow from this iconic English cricketer. India was then bundled out for a score of 288 with Broad taking six wickets in the innings.
