Cristiano Ronaldo: Another setback for star forward player as two-match ban and 50K Euros fine imposed on him | Watch video

Cristiano Ronaldo: On Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United reached a mutual agreement to end his contract. However, his woes were even more increased as a new announcement came in. The Portuguese captain has been penalised by the English Football Association (FA) for a previous incident in which he and a young Everton supporter were involved.

The incident happened in April 2022

The 37-year-old was given a two-game suspension and fined £50000 for smashing a young fan’s phone in April 2022. This roughly translates to less than 50 lakhs. Watch video:

The official statement read, “Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for two matches, fined £50,000 and warned as to his future conduct for a breach of FA Rule E3.”

On Tuesday night, Manchester United released a statement confirming that Ronaldo’s contract had been terminated. The forward was not given any severance pay despite the fact that his contract had been terminated six months early, according to the statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo received backlash

According to reports, the young Everton supporter had dyslexia and autism while United fell short of Everton 0-1. The star forward left the field visibly upset with the outcome and broke the teen’s phone on the way out.

According to the boy’s mother, his phone screen was broken and he was left with a bruised hand. Police issued a warning to Ronaldo in August, and the English Football Association (FA) later penalised him with improper behaviour. His immature behaviour was criticised by many people including notable people from football community.
