Cristiano Ronaldo: The new team that Cristiano Ronaldo has joined! Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to a €500 million deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr after ending his contract with Manchester United while being at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

In a tense interview with Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old spoke on Manchester United and their manager Erik Ten Hag, with whom Ronaldo had a tense relationship. By mutual agreement, the Portuguese captain’s contract was terminated, and he has since been an unrestricted free player.

Ronaldo has reportedely agreed for contract

As per reports, Ronaldo has chosen to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr for an estimated €200 million per season for two and a half years, though his options are limited and few. By the time his deal with Al Nassr expires, Ronaldo will be making a staggering sum of money worth close to half a billion euros.

Ronaldo will be 40 years old by then. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be making a profitable transition. The Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr, where Ronaldo will be joined by former Arsenal goalie David Ospina, is currently ranked second. Few elite European teams could have afforded to sign Ronaldo, with Chelsea being one of the teams that has consistently been linked to CR7. Despite this, the Saudi Arabian club appears to have defeated Chelsea.

Bayern Munich has also disqualified themselves from competing for the legendary Portuguese player. Ronaldo will continue to extend his stay in the middle east after the World Cup, it appears as though Al Nassr has won the race to sign him.

In the round of 16 matchup of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Ronaldo’s Portugal take on Switzerland, with both teams hoping to advance to the quarterfinals. The talismanic forward will try to break the record against the Swiss on Wednesday even though he is yet to score in the knockout stages of his career.
