Ronaldo revealed in a major revelation on Piers Morgan Uncensored that he turned down a huge 350 million euro deal to play two seasons with a Saudi Arabian club in the summer of 2022.
Ronaldo makes shocking revealations
During the summer transfer window, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly stated that he wanted to leave Old Trafford in order to compete for the Champions League championship. The Portuguese talisman, who now plays for the Red Devils under new boss Erik ten Hag, was unable to find a suitor and was forced to stay on.
According to rumours during the transfer controversy, the 37-year-old legend was contacted by the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. Before the multibillion-dollar deal fell through, Al-President Hilal’s Fahad bin Nafel surprisingly acknowledged that the sides were entering the final phases of discussions in September.
After remaining silent for several months, Ronaldo has now spoken out about the approach from a Saudi club, admitting that he turned down a lucrative offer that would have seen the Portuguese superstar earn a record-breaking salary. Ronaldo also stated that it was difficult to turn down the lucrative offer.

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to Piers Morgan about the alleged offer from a Saudi Arabian club “It’s true, yes it’s true… but what the press keeping say, the garbage, is that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong. And I was happy here (Manchester United) to be honest, I was motivated to do a great season here.”
The star footballer added that, “”But they continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano. How they don’t want a player who scored 32 goals last year, with national team [included]?”

Cristiano Ronaldo speaks on deal
Speaking about the same offer, he said “It’s hard, it’s hard. But in the same way, I thought that I was very happy here; that I am still capable of scoring goals. I still believe that I can score many, many goals and help the team because I still believe that I’m still good and capable of helping national team – even Manchester United.”
Al-Hilal, hailed as one of Asia’s most decorated clubs, has amassed 65 trophies, the most continental trophies with 18, and is the recipient of the most Professional League championships (18).
