CSK vs KKR IPL 2023

CSK vs KKR IPL 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders are currently battling against Chennai Super Kings at their home ground Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The home side won the toss and chose to field first but failed utterly as CSK managed to post a mammoth 235/4 in 20 overs. However, KKR appeared to be nowhere in the chase losing wickets at the start itself. However, Jason Roy appeared to be in a league of his own as he smashed a hattrick of sixes just from his second ball on the crease.

Jason Roy goes berserk

KKR did not have an ideal start while chasing the huge total. In the first 7 overs, they managed to score just 46 runs while losing 2 wickets. Moeen Ali came to bowl the next over and put the home team into the back seat even further by dismissing Venkatesh Iyer on the first ball of his spell. Jason Roy then entered the crease.

He took a single off the first ball and passed on the strike to Nitish Rana. The skipper also took a single on the next ball, and resultantly, Jason came on strike. Then, on the next three balls, he launched a batting onslaught and smacked three sixes across the ground. It boosted the momentum of the team as nobody had expected such batting while wickets kept on falling from one end. He couldn’t open today as he suffered a minor injury while fielding today.
