DC vs KKR IPL 2023: On Thursday, April 20th, during the ongoing match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Prithvi Shaw's disappointing performance in this season's Indian Premier League (IPL) persisted. He failed to play any significant part in the game once again.

Delhi Capitals' head coach, Ricky Ponting, had earlier stated that the batter will have a great season this year, much before the tournament started. The renowned Australian coach had gone to the extent of stating that the 2023 edition of the IPL would be the "going to be his biggest season ever in the IPL" for the opener.

Unfortunately, Prithvi Shaw has been performing extremely poorly and has not been able to showcase his usual form. He seems to be a mere shadow of his former self. Although Delhi Capitals have supported the struggling batsman, he has not shown many indications of making a comeback and performing at his best.

Prithvi Shaw, a right-handed batsman, had a dismal start to the season with scores of 12 and 7 runs in his first two innings against Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, respectively. He failed to open his account in the third match against Rajasthan Royals and followed it up with scores of 15 and 0 against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Despite his poor form, Delhi Capitals persisted with Shaw in their subsequent game against Knight Riders, hoping he would return to form. Their bowlers restricted KKR to a modest total, providing Shaw with a perfect opportunity to regain his confidence. However, the highly-rated batsman failed to deliver once again and was dismissed after scoring just 13 runs.
