Dhawan-led Indian team reaches Sri Lanka

The Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian side has arrived in Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series that will commence from July 13 at Colombo. The BCCI has tweeted the pictures of players arrival in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Along with the BCCI, Sri Lanka Cricket has also tweeted the pictures of players arriving in Sri Lanka.

“India National team led by Shikhar Dhawan, arrived in Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series,” Sri Lanka Cricket tweeted on Monday.

With regular skipper Virat Kohli and the red ball side, currently touring England, Dhawan will have pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar as his deputy.

A day prior to the departure, Dhawan had said that this was “a nice blend of experience and youth.”

Squad: Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Prithvi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, K Gowtham, Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Vice-captain), Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya.

Net Bowlers: Ishan Porel, Sandeep Warrier, Arshdeep Singh, Sai Kishore, Simarjeet Singh.

The big squad of 20 players, comprises 6 uncapped players out of which few are likely to get opportunities in the final eleven.
