Team India is performing brilliantly in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 being played between India and Australia. India has won the first two matches against Australia. Former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja is also quite impressed with the performance of Team India. Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Rameez Raja praised Team India for their 6-wicket win against Australia in Delhi. Rohit Sharma & Co. defeated the Australian team within three days and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. With this, the Indian team has retained the trophy.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Rameez Raja said, "India's victory in three days reminded him of the old Australian side, which used to dominate Asian teams on their soil." He said that the visiting batsmen did very poorly against spin. The former Pakistani cricketer said, “How Australia's match has ended, similarly the Australian team used to end matches against subcontinent teams in Perth or Brisbane. Everything is changed. This shows that Australia is not ready, especially when it comes to playing good Test cricket in India."

Praising the Indian cricket team, Rameez Raja further said, “It is impossible to defeat Team India in India. A brilliant performance against spin. Nine wickets fell in one session. Jadeja did a great bowling performance. According to Rameez Raja, Akshar Patel's innings made the difference. The all-rounder scored 74 in the first innings and stitched a century partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, which helped India reduce the loss."

He said, “Akshar Patel's batting was decisive. Looking at the conditions, he scored 60-70 runs. He shared a partnership with Ashwin when Australia could have taken a big lead. This happened because Australia was not mentally strong and has technical flaws. His batting against spin is very bad. Akshar Patel wrong shot, sweep shot and great batting."
