FIFA World Cup 2022: Argentina’s victory in the tournament has attracted enormous appreciation from different corners of world. PM Narendra Modi too wished the team for their victory just a few minutes after they lifted the trophy. The France vs. Argentina World Cup final, he claimed, will go down as one of the most exciting football games ever played. Argentina won the World Cup for the third time after defeating France 4-2 on penalties.

At the Lusail Stadium in Qatar, the dramatic World Cup final ended 3-3 after extra time thanks to goals from France’s Kylian Mbappe and Argentina’s Lionel Messi. The prime minister of India hailed France for its enthusiastic performance as well. He claimed that the team’s talent thrilled football fans.

It was Messi’s final and fifth opportunity to win the World Cup, a trophy that has eluded him his whole career. As Argentina won the major competition, several fans in India set off firecrackers, honked their horns, and yelled with joy.

Fans wearing Argentina jerseys were heard yelling “Vamos” as they leaped up and down and danced around with one another in some areas of Kerala, unable to contain their happiness. Similar celebrations by supporters of the South American squad and Lionel Messi could be seen everywhere they were in Kerala, whether it was in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram, the port city of Kochi, or Malappuram in the north.
