Harleen Deol’s blistering inning
Earlier, Gujarat Giants won the toss and opt to bat first. Their decision went as they would have expected as the side managed to score 201 runs with the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Harleen Deol entered the crease after opener Meghana was dismissed with a score of 8 off 11. After that, Harleen Deol and Sophia Dunkley etched a strong partnership together.
Sophia scored 65 off 28 balls while Harleen Deol smashed 67 off 45, hitting nine boundaries and a six. She played with a strike rate of 148.89. Throughout her knock, she played several entertaining shots that continued to build pressure upon Royal Challengers Bangalore. As of writing this, the odds are in favour of Gujarat Giants itself as RCB managed to score 88 runs with a loss of one wicket in 11 overs.
