Mohammed Shami’s impressive start

Gujarat Titans have 6 wins in 8 matches and were considered favourites to win today’s match as well due to the poor form shown by Delhi Capitals. After winning the toss, they invited Delhi Capitals to bat first. Wickets in powerplay seemed on the cards but Shami struck on the first ball itself, leaving Delhi Capitals trembling.

Shami came to bowl the first over and he threw an outswinger just outside off, Philip Salt tried to go big on the first ball by hitting for a boundary. However, the ball ended straight into the hands of David Miller, who was standing at the cover. The crowd instantly erupted in joy. The disappointment was further increased for DC when skipper and the only batter in form David Warner was runout in the second over. Later, Shami picked two more wickets. As of writing this, DC has scored 22/4 in 4.2 overs.
