GT vs RR IPL 2023: Jos Buttler has been in terrific form this year just like in the previous edition. However, he was left completely bamboozled by Mohammed Shami’s delivery today in the clash against Gujarat Giants, which took place at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The wicket came in at a crucial moment while they were on their pursuit of a target of 178.
Mohammed Shami knocks off stumps
Earlier, Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field first. However, they failed to capitalise on the moment as GT batters went on to post 177/8 in 20 overs. In response, the visitor team lost the opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for a score of 1 run in 7 balls. This left RR’s inning in the completely unstable moment.
Then, Mohammed Shami came to bowl the next over of the innings. The over had been good for him as he gave away just 1 run in 4 balls. On the fifth ball, he swung in the delivery, which Buttler tried to scoop on the leg-side. However, he was completely beaten and as he tried to move away the stump and ball directly hit the off-stump, knocking it off to a few feet away. The video of this dismissal is getting immensely popular on social media.
