Hardik Pandya: “Pata hi nahi chala kab aaya” Mitchell Starc’s sensational delivery leaves everyone baffled | Watch Video

Hardik Pandya: KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, who both got half-centuries during the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match against Australia in Brisbane, were two highlights of India’s batting performance. Even so, the other hitters were miffed. Virat Kohli scored 19 off 13 balls, Karthik 20 off 14, and Hardik Pandya grabbed 2 off five before captain Rohit Sharma was bowled for 15 off 14 balls. However, India managed to register a solid total of 186/7 despite some of their marquee batsmen not performing up to par.

Hardik Pandya had no clue about the ball

The most unhappy and uneasy-looking of the bunch was Hardik. The star Indian all-rounder, who has been outstanding since arriving back, bizarrely appeared out of sorts. Pandya was able to make contact with the ball on three of the five deliveries he faced, including the one that resulted in his dismissal. Another two, Pandya was beaten.

In reality, the second delivery that Pandya faced was a complete beauty after a few wides. Coming across the wicket, Mitchell Starc produced a full ball that Pandya was defeated by all means. Watch Video:

The stump mic caught Pandya talking to Suryakumar Yadav at the non-end, striker’s “Mujhe pata hi nahi chala. Kab aaya, kab beat hua. Pata hi nahi chala” (I had no idea about that delivery). When Pandya attempted to guide Kane Richardson to third man but received a leading edge, the ball fell directly into Tim David’s clutches at second slip, ending Pandya’s innings. Later, when he was sent on to bowl, he let up 29 runs in three overs while going wicketless.

In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, Pandya has taken over as India’s main all-rounder. He has been in excellent form, bowling fast, getting wickets, and dominating the finisher position for this Indian squad. He has made significant contributions on several occasions since rejoining the Indian team, notably the match-winning run against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
