T20 World Cup 2022: As the World Cup draws near, discussions regarding the stories, accomplishments, and individuals associated with this shortest form of cricket have begun. Whatever the case, for India, the T20 World Cup holds many memorable moments. Whether it was winning the inaugural T20 World Cup or Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes, that day is still very recent in everyone’s memory. Lalit Modi recalls a particular anecdote from this day when he had to gift a Porsche car.

Lalit Modi reportedly attended the dinner the night before India and England’s T20 World Cup match with the Indian players and Yuvraj was also there. Lalit Modi was the vice president of the BCCI at the time Yuvraj Singh said that even when Indian cricketers do well, they do not receive extra compensation. Following this, Yuvraj indicated his intention to own Porsche cars during the same dinner. Lalit Modi then promised to give Yuvraj a Porsche car if he smacks six sixes in a single over.
In fact, when Lalit Modi was making this promise to Yuvraj, he also did not expect that he would acheive such a feat. But the very next day, during the match between India and England, Yuvraj Singh hit 6 consecutive sixes one by one on the ball of Stuard Broad and made a world record. After the match was over, he met Lalit Modi and asked him for a Porsche car, on which Lalit asked him for his 6 six-hitting bat and in return the car was gifted to him.
