IND vs AUS: Jasprit Bumrah Not Traveling With The Team? Prasidh Krishna Replaces Him; Check Out The Reason

Now that Jasprit Bumrah has gotten his rhythm back, the Indian team is at ease with the pacer and has given him a break to go and visit his family during the second ODI against Australia.

IND vs AUS: The Indian team registered a comfortable victory against Australia in the first ODI match. This series against the Aussies will be the last series before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

The disciplined bowling performances and sensational batting by Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, and KL Rahul made sure India would take the lead in the series.

Now the Blues have the chance to clinch the series if they win the second ODI match on Sunday. But it looks like the Indian team will be without their ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah for this match.

No Bumrah For IND vs AUS Second Match

Jasprit Bumrah did not travel with the team to Indore for the 2nd ODI against Australia. While Mohammad Shami was the star of the last match, Bumrah’s disciplined bowling put pressure on the Aussies.

He has gone to visit his family and was given a short break by the team management. According to reports, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar joined the team as Bumrah’s replacement for the 2nd ODI. Bumrah will join the team for the final ODI in Rajkot.

Everyone thought that Mukesh would get the nudge in the second ODI but the Blues have gone with rising star Prasidh Krishna instead of him. Krishna is termed as the next big thing in Indian cricket and India wants to take a chance on him.

No Cummins and Marsh

It looks like, the Aussies are also giving rest to some of their big players ahead of the World Cup. Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh have been rested for the second ODI while Josh Hazlewood has made his return to the squad.

Hazlewood returning is a good sign for Australian cricket as the medium pacer was out of the squad for a little while because of an injury.
