IND vs AUS: In the ongoing third test match between India and Australia at Indore, Cheteshwar Pujara, the backbone of India’s batting line-up, was left stunned by a pivotal dismissal. Nathan Lyon bowled him out for just one run in the ninth over of India’s first innings when the ball stayed low and turned from outside off, beating Pujara and crashing into the middle stump. This left India struggling with a score of just 36 runs, making the wicket a crucial moment in the match.

Pujara’s dismissal stuns fans

Cheteshwar Pujara’s plan to play off the back foot seemed perfect, but the pitch had other ideas. The lack of bounce caught him off guard, resulting in his dismissal and putting India in a backfoot position early in the innings. Team India could not register a big score as the wickets of the top order fell regularly.

Pujara’s ability to anchor the innings has made him a key player for India, making his departure a huge blow. While the Indian camp was disappointed, Nathan Lyon and the Australian team were thrilled with the dismissal.

However, their innings was cut short when Matthew Kuhnemann, the Australian spinner, took down Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and opener Shubman Gill. Rohit was stumped by Alex Carey after scoring 12 runs off 23 balls, while Steven Smith caught Shubman off Kuhnemann’s delivery for 21 runs off 18 balls.

Pujara was dismissed for one, while Ravindra Jadeja could muster just runs, while Shreyas Iyer was out on a duck. Virat scored 22 off 51 ball. At the lunch break, Men in Blue posted a score of 84/7 after 26 overs.
