IND vs BAN: Ishan Kishan smashes valiant double-century at Chattogram, converts his first 100 to daddy hundred

IND vs BAN: The previous two one-day internationals between India and Bangladesh didn’t turn out to be in the favour of Men in Blue. In the second ODI match, skipper Rohit Sharma got severely injured on fingers before scoring a valiant fifty at the end of innings. However, Ishan Kishan replaced him as the opener for the third and final match, and what a change it has been.

Ishan smashes double-century

Ishan Kishan has smashed a hard-hitting double century against the Bangladesh in third and final ODI happening at Chattogram. Prior to the match, he didn’t have even a single century in the format and now has a straight double century. So far, the batsman has hit 23 fours and 9 sixes in his inning. The 200th run has come in just 126th ball.

Ishan Kishan smashed his century in 85 balls. Thus, he took just 41 balls for the second hundred. His hitting power has proved to be an absolute carnage and since this is just the 35th over of the inning, India is expected to get to a mammoth total. In the course of his knock, he also became only the fourth Indian to do so.

Virat marching towards his 72nd hundred in IND vs BAN

On the other hand, India had a shaky start when they lost star opener Shikhar Dhawan on 4.1 over. He was dismissed for after scoring just 3 runs on 8 balls. However, since then Virat Kohli took command on his hand and along with Ishan he has curated a strong partnership of more than 275 runs. Virat is currently batting at 85, valiantly moving forward to his 72th hundred as well. This will also marks as Virat Kohli’s return in form in the ODI format.
