IND VS ENG ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Mohammad Shami has a golden arm and he proved that once again against England. Just when the team needed their bowlers the most, both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami delivered.
While Bumrah started taking the attack to the English side, Shami kept on the pressure and completely broke their back. While Bumrah took care of the top order, Shami sent the middle order back to the pavilion.
This is Shami’s second match in this World Cup and he has already taken 9 wickets so far. Just imagine what would he have done if he had been in the playing XI from the start. He is changing the pace order in the team right in front of our eyes and it is magical.
Sensational Shami
After taking 5 wickets against New Zealand, Mohammad Shami was once again in the limelight against England. He continued the attack that was started by Jasprit Bumrah and never let the English batsmen breathe at all.
Shami took 4 wickets in just 7 overs and only gave away 22 runs in the process. It was one of the best bowling performances you will ever see in a World Cup match. He took care of Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow in consecutive deliveries. Moeen Ali would have been scared to play the hat trick delivery.
And just when Moeen Ali was looking to settle down, he sent him back to the pavilion after a peach of a delivery. Adil Rashid became his last prey as he let Jasprit Bumrah pick up the last wicket.

After scoring just 229 runs, it looked like it would be a challenge for India to defend this total. But after this bowling performance, India annihilated the English batting lineup.
The Men In Blues registered a 100-run victory and became the first team to qualify for the semi-final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
